George Junior Republic in Pennsylvania

The Admissions Department accepts referrals for youth that are delinquent, dependent, managed care and private payee. Each youth referred will receive thorough consideration by a GJR in PA Regional Liaison. The process will consist of a review of all current and historical documentation, and when possible, a face to face screening.

This, in conjunction with the defined program criteria for referred level of care, will determine eligibility of services offered to youth referred.  At times, further information may be requested.  All eligibility decisions are finalized by the Vice President of Admissions and Community Based Programs.  Youth not meeting program criteria may be approved for admission based upon further review from GJR in PA administration, a GJR in PA psychiatrist and/or Health Services Director.

Referrals by placing agencies can be made by emailing the material below to [email protected]. The following information is requested at the time of referral:

  • Delinquency/dependency/behavioral health history
  • Educational background
  • Health assessment
  • Placement history
  • Previous evaluations to include psychiatric, psychological, or other treatment specific assessments

Once eligibility is determined, the referring agency will be required to complete all consent forms prior to admission.
Completed consent forms can be sent to [email protected] or to the GJR in PA Liaison assigned to your region or county.
