Programs & Services

GJR in PA was established in 1909. We offer a broad range of residential services for at-risk male youth, ages 8 to 18. Programs are trauma informed and individualized to meet the presenting needs of each youth.

A community-based home for males ages 8 to 21 within a structured, supervised environment.

Adventure Based Counseling is designed to encourage positive risk taking in a supportive, compassionate, and noncompetitive environment.

BARJ is a national initiative that gives priority to repairing the harm done to crime victims and the community by defining offender accountability.

Our fine arts program offers a unique environment for youth to experience art as an effective and appropriate outlet for self-awareness and expression.

We offer a coordinated and comprehensive approach to health care during a youth’s stay on campus. Youth receive routine dental, hearing, and vision check-ups.

We provide nutritious meals to youth following the Pennsylvania Department of Education Bureau of Food and Nutrition guidelines.

In partnership with the Grove City Area School District, we offer youth a variety of academic programs to fit their needs as well as the opportunity for them to participate in vocational training.

Many youth are evaluated by one of our psychiatrists and are seen on a regular basis for follow up care and management of prescribed medication.

Our recreational program affords youth the opportunity to improve their health, attitude, character, and behavior through the participation in recreational activities.

Our goal is to provide evidence based, trauma informed care for all persons served.
