Jenn Freed, Campus Director

Jenn Freed has been a dedicated employee of George Junior Republic since her internship in 2006, an experience that sparked her lasting passion for the organization following her graduation from Slippery Rock University.

She began her career as a Clinical Manager in SN 5 before pursuing her Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) at Edinboro University in 2009. In March 2011, she was promoted to Group Therapist, and in April 2012, advanced to Treatment Team Coordinator in SN 14. After earning her M.S.W. in May 2013, she continued to grow in leadership, culminating in her promotion to Campus Director in January 2022. In this role, she oversees Special Needs 12, 15, and 16.

Over the past several weeks, it has been inspiring to watch our staff come together across campus. From stepping in to cover open shifts and ensuring safety, to providing therapeutic care and building meaningful relationships with the youth we serve, your commitment has not gone unnoticed.

One of the most encouraging things to witness has been staff members volunteering in other buildings, meeting new youth, and then continuing to visit and check in on them afterward. These connections create lasting bonds and show our youth that caring adults are always there for them, no matter where they are.

As a Campus Director, I have the privilege of overseeing a diverse team. Watching staff share their skills, support one another, and bring new experiences back to their home teams has been remarkable. This collaboration has fostered a stronger, more unified campus culture where we are all learning, growing, and working together toward one shared goal—serving in the best interest of the children entrusted to our care.

Thank you to every team member who makes this possible. Your compassion, teamwork, and dedication truly make a difference.
